Toronto has so many choices when it comes to wedding venues, and Jenn & Keith’s Toronto Island wedding at the Algonquin Island Association (Ward’s Island) was a perfect balance of city backdrop with ample nature for outdoors lovers. I loved every minute of it! We arrived via the Ward’s Island ferry from the waterfront in downtown Toronto. If you’ve been to the Island, you’ll notice that this ferry is smaller and more open than the one going to the Centre Island.
The bride got ready at a small Airbnb with her girls and walked over to the venue to change into her dress. The groom and the boys also got ready at a separate Airbnb.
Algonquin Island Association (AIA), I believe, has the best view of the city, with direct access to water taxi, and perfect view of the sunset. The ceremony took place right in front of AIA, with the couple sharing their vows with their closest family and friends while overlooking the city, with the CN tower clearly visible. If you love the city and outdoors, Toronto Island Wedding might be something you should consider.
For me few things that I loved were:
- Their customized ring! Look at the details of the band! I love how it incorporates branch like texture & the deep blue really goes well with the gold! The groom worked closely with the designer to come up with this.
- The dress from Kleinfeld complimented the bride! I love all the lace details and it had pockets! Enough said!
- Entertainment – I loved how they had frisbee golf (groom is a competitive player!) for guests to enjoy and game of Jenga at tables! There’s nothing like a little game to get people mingling and talking 🙂
- The sunset – It. Was. Gorgeous. Seriously made for a dreamy portrait for this happy couple!
